1.Identify in a situation in which you led?
A time that I led was in the orphanage in India. I was introduced to this orphanage when I was in boarding school in India my sophomore year as part of a community and service project. I helped the children in orphanage how to read, write, do and do math. Also part of my job was to teach them sports such as volleyball, soccer, and field hockey. I went to the orphanage everyday for one and half hours and spend half my Saturday there for the whole school year.
2.Circumstances of context
The orphanage did not provide the children with education because they did not have enough money to provide for proper a proper facility or books. The children had to work in the rice fields to reside at the orphanage.
3.Outcomes I realized as a result of my leadership?
I realized that there are innocent children that are helpless and need someone to teach them skills in life. They need help learning their basic skills so they can survive. If I devoted my time like I did my sophomore year I can help more than 10 kids and that is ten lives I can help to make better. They can pass on their basic knowledge they know to their peers and that would affect a lot of people.
4.What traits I demonstrated.
I demonstrated perseverance, commitment and determination to help theses kids with the little I knew so that they could probably make their lives better. Because I was committed to my service the children could learn a lot more.
